$100 for shipping sounds about right for an AES through EMS shipping. If you're being charges $150-180... I'd assume there are a few games in the deal. AES games are stupidly heavy.

If you suspect the overcharged you on weight based shipping from Japan, just check out the costs over at Japan Post. Ask the seller how much it weights. Double check the price for the weight with JP, then weight it when you receive it to make sure it's in the right price range, or at least in the range next to it. On shipping between $100-150, a $10 dollar difference isn't horrible... but you're talking a $50-80 difference there. That is robbery.

I hate SAL (by boat) it takes almost 3 months.
SAL is economy air. It take 2-3 weeks, has no insurance and is about 80-90% the cost of EMS. It's basically useless. You're thinking of "Surface Mail", which I personally prefer unless I'm worried about time.

That ad is amazing. I miss when the days when print ads were actually print-heavy. Plus it has that distinctively 90s combative in-your-face style of advertising.

Cool ad. Buy a Neo Geo and your cock will grow larger than the losers who still play Nintendo and Sega. That's an ad I can get behind.

That was a great deal! The joystick knobs are obviously replaced, they might be replaced with Sanwa or Semitsu balls which are better than the original which usually crack over time. The AES system is fairly expensive for each game so it really will put a dent in your wallet. The serial # is quite high so the video might not be the best but you can mod it for RGB/stereo if you wanted or find someone who could do it for you. The memory card is very nice as well, just make sure it still holds the save. Have fun!
