What are your favorite Final Fantasy spin-off games?
We all know the original series that is still going strong today. But we don't often discuss the spin-off's. Some of my favorites:
Final Fantasy Adventure - which is really Sword Of Mana. But as I grew up playing the GB game and I loved it. It's like a Final Fantasy Zelda. So awesome.
Final Fantasy Legend - or technically Saga. So f'd up and weird. Killing the creator and eating monsters you killed to mutate. C'mon!
Crystal Chronicles - amazing graphics. Hackin' n slashin'.

Kingdom Hearts. Definitely my favorite game of all time. The first time I saw it, I knew I wanted that game I wasn't even sure why, but I did. I waited for countless months for its release, and got it as soon as I could. Back then, I barely knew what Final Fantasy was, but I still loved the game. It was really the game that introduced me to the rest of the Final Fantasy series.

Really seems to obvious, but I'm of course going to say Final Fantasy Tactics
Crisis Core is cool, though it is odd to think of it as a spin off since it is part of FF 7's storyline

Tactics I still haven't beat it since I get distracted and come back to my save file with no clue what I was doing. Restarting and playing through that game has never been an issue for me.

My favorite has been Final Fantasy tactics advance. It was my first and favorite spin-off ff game and is also one of my favorite GBA games.

How did I forget FF Tactics Advance??? It's definitely one of my favorite games. I love it so much.
I always overlook Kingdom Hearts. I should check it out.

Final Fantasy Mystic Quest.
Who cares if it was ridiculously easy and had a (nonexistant) story? The music was awesome and it was one of my first RPGs!

I guess if it was a first... but Mystic Quest was not a good one for me.

other than that i loved vagrant story. i know what your thinking thats not a spin off, but it was confirmed by Yasumi Matsuno (creator of final fantasy XII) that the game takes place in the world of Ivalice. whether this is true or not doesn't matter because the game is amazing on it's own. i rather see is as it's own world though, due to my dislike of the setting of Ivalice after FFXII. i figured i might as well mention it though since i love it so much.

Hey now. Final Fantasy Tactics Advance was not as good as the ps1 classic. It was a good portable but not the same as the original. I like crisis core so far. If I find a good price on FFT PSP, I might get it. My gf likes chocobo racing.
