I've been working with people that have both mental and physical disabilites for almost 5 years now and have more experience beyond that. At least in my community I'd guess around only 25% of them actually benefit from the Handicap parking. Most of the time the care givers apply for the parking permits because they like the close parking. Its anecdotal, but I thought I'd throw that into the discussion.

I'll also join the small group not encouraging this behavior. Sure I've fantasized about it, but that doesnt make it right. You mentioned the example she set for her son, but what about your example to anyone who was watching including her son? There are much more constructive ways to deal with annoyances like that.

I agree with your motivation, but not your methods. People do all kinds of obnoxious and inconsiderate things like blocking handicap spots, and they get away with it because nobody ever wants to speak up and suggest they behave themselves. Our society loses a bit of its class when people don't dare provide constructive criticism where needed. ... of course, running around calling people fat fucking hippos doesn't increase our classiness much either.

Well put. I'm not sure why, (actually it's probably because we are birds of a feather), but your opinion matters to me.

I'm repeating myself, but I've used other methods time and time again (almost daily), and I snapped a little. I'll also add that my training and diet have made me a little...Testy.
That is no excuse to snap either, and I'll say again I'm not proud of what I did, but I'm not really upset with myself.

It also pisses me off when fat people take the motorized carts at walmart because they are too fat to walk. If they walked more they wouldnt need the cart.
