Know any retro game stores in So Cal?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Know any retro game stores in So Cal?

Post by masteroftheclaw »

Kind of a long shot I guess but figured I might as well ask around if anyone knows cool game stores in Southern California... I've been Googling around a bit for stores that sell classic video games and stuff like that. Perhaps I'm just not looking hard enough but the only place I know that sells anything close to what I'm looking for is a place called Game Quest in Orange, CA.

Help me out! There's gotta be a ton of little (or big?) stores and I'm just BLIND. I hope? :?

M&M Video Games was the only one near my part of Southern California. Their prices on some of the more popular rare items can be ri-FREAKING-diculous, but overall they're not too bad. If you're buying a few things you can usually talk them down on the price. I'm only familiar with their Upland store, which I'm all but positive is their primary shop. Beware of anything the employees say (save the manager and the kids they have help out). They're about as tricky as car salesmen.

There's 2 in San Diego:
Luna Video Games (2 locations; Ocean Beach and El Cajon)
and Game ADX in Oceanside.

I've noticed that it varies with them. Some are good and some are off by a lot. But the guys there are knowledgeable and I've gotten nearly all my recently purchased retro consoles from them.
