Street Fighter II Turbo on the SNES, for a very brief period of time. I don't even remember playing it as a small child, but that was apparently the first one I've played, according to my dad.

Sonic the Hedgehog for Master System. Quickly followed by Alex Kidd in Miracle World when i curiously turned it on with no game in. Best freebie ever.

Castle Wolfenstein. No, not Wolf 3d. The original 2d Wolfenstein. Now that I think about it, that game can be pretty intense for a young kid. Sneaking around, trying avoid SS officers. One finally sees you and all hell breaks loose as you fumble for a grenade...
