Updating Sega Saturn Action Replay Cartridge
I was very lucky to find a 4-in-1 Action Replay Cartridge in a game store yesterday for $20, and have had a lot of fun messing around with it. However, a lot of games are missing from the cheat list [namely Magic Knight Rayearth, understandable since it was the last released US game for the system], and since the cartridge doesn't have the function to let you add games and cheats manually, I was looking for a way to update the cartridge. I can see that the cart has a parallel port on top, however, I don't have access to a computer with a parallel port. Would a Parallel-to-USB cable work, or is there too much of a compatibility difference? Also, I aven't been able to find the update tool and latest firmware for the cart; does anybody have that, by any chance?

Can't help you with updating by plugging it in computer, I looked for something that would update automatically but found nothing. But if you don't mind manually inputting codes maybe this will help http://www.cheatchaser.com/saturn/

Yeah, but as far as I can see, the Saturn version of Action Replay doesn't let you put in codes for new games.
EDIT: Well, I feel like an idiot. I just figured out how to add new games... It was at the top of the game list.

Lol, I was scratching my head saying, "I could have sworn you can add new games/codes..."

Off topic a bit but that's a nice find! Being from the kalamazoo area myself, I've been hoping one of these would pop up eventually but I guess you beat me to it!lisalover1 wrote:I was very lucky to find a 4-in-1 Action Replay Cartridge in a game store yesterday for $20
