That's really cool, I would want one for $40. You can't buy GB flash carts anymore, as far as I can tell. I found info on how to turn an original GB cart into a flash cart, but you have to build a programmer for it which uses a parallel cable. A USB only GB flash cart (no programmer) would be awesome.

They work well, tho they drain a gameboy's batteries like no other flash cart I've ever seen (you actually have to regularly adjust the contrast while playing to keep stuff visible), and don't seem to be compatible with the GC Gameboy Player.
I got mine from Kitsch-bent but he seems to be sold-out. They're made by EMS so you can order them from other places, but Kitsch was the cheapest I could find.

I second that! I've wanted a GB/GBC flash cart ever since I tried making hacks of the Pokemon games. I actually have 2 hacks finished from back then (I was like 15 or 16) - they're really simple with changes in the text, graphics, items and such, but different enough that I wish I had an actual cart to play them on...

You can still get GB flash carts from Consolegoods - http://www.robwebb1.plus.com/copiers/copiers.htm. They're based in the UK, and they have 32 and 64 mbit gameboy flash carts for approximately $40-60 USD. I'm thinking of getting a few eventually... :D

Well I don't care about the battery life, just if it can play in a Super Gameboy.

A few? They only allow one savegame per cart, but they're reprogrammable, and support multiple roms at once.

I'll be receiving a SNES in a day or so, and already have a Super Gameboy. I'll let you know how it goes.

I own the 64m cart that yukima posted a link to (bought from kitsch though hes been long sold out) and can verify that it is a very high quality flash cart and very easy to use. You do need to make sure that you have 32bit vista or xp in order to run the software though, it wont run on anything higher. I can verify that it plays on a gamecube gameboy player and can also verify, though not first hand, that any of the gb flash carts should and do play on the super gameboy. A super gameboy is essentially nothing but a modified original gameboy. Ive seen super gbs used countless times by chip musicians.

Hmm, mine's the exact same one. I can never get past the Nintendo logo on my gameboy player. The screen will turn black, white, or white with a few random letters or numbers, but will not show the multirom menu or boot with only one game on the cart.

I know it might be the generic answer, but did you try cleaning the pins on the flash cart AND the GB Player?
