Accion Mutante, a cult Spanish scifi/comedy movie from 1993. Fun stuff.

saw black dynamite last night at midnight, one of the funniest movies I have seen in a long time. It was also one of the best/funniest nights I've had in awhile, we got drunk watching predator at my bros house than staggered downtown to the theater, so fun.

Pan's Labyrinth and Waltz with Bashir.

Both highly recommended!

Sixteen Candles: Fun stuff! And that guy almost lost 20 FLOPPY DISKS! Quite a risky bet.

District 9: I liked it, but I am surprised, after seeing it, that everyone else liked it. This movie reminds me of the corny, B-grade, sci-fi action flicks I watch on Sci-fi (syfy?). I know that is partly the aim of the movie, with a deeper lesson discreetly sprinkled in. My wife liked the film too, which was a plus. She thought the little kid alien was adorable. I am not surprised considering how cute we thought our hermit crabs were when we used to have them.

Jennifer's Body: I hear a lot of crap about this movie. I liked it. I think people took it too seriously. It's a funny horror-themed movie. How does it go wrong? I think it is a very simple movie and achieves what it sets out to do. This is one of the films where I feel people just need to relax and not think too much. Just enjoy some corny horror that is supposed to be corny horror.

I'd been wondering about that film ever since I first heard of it. Is it worth tracking down?
