2 problem Sega Master Systems
Alright, I have 2 Sega Master Systems that don't work. One wont power on but but it used to work fine, it just stopped turning on one day. The other turns on but only seems to output a strange black and white picture not resembling anything in particular. I've fixed systems on my own before, but I figured I'd find out what I should look for first. Any suggestions?

I don't remember there being a fuse in the SMS. I guess the first thing would be cleaning the cart slot. If you don't have an old school system cleaning kit, you could use a clean piece of cardboard folded over in the cart slot. Dampen it with alcohol and jiggle it up and down a bit. Once that's had a while to dry, if it hasn't improved anything, open up the system and look for any obvious damage. See if any of the capacitors are bulging on the top or have spit out their guts onto the board.

i had a similar problem with my SMS. i somehow figured out that once i turned on the system i had to pick it up and wiggle/rotate it until it actually powered on. i am no electrician, but i suspect a wire might be loose and my wiggling/rotating is "putting it back in place." it's def a pain the ass, but once its on it works like dream.
if you took a shit, please put it back

Well, I have soldering equipment and know how to use it, so hopefully I can find and fix the problem if that's what it is.
