Need help with Saturn and Action Replay 4M Plus

I have a US Sega Saturn Model# MK-80000A and an Action Replay 4M Plus. I want to play Saturn imports using the AR.

When I start the Saturn with the AR cartridge in, the AR logo appears and just stays there. Nothing happens when I press the buttons on the controller. Am I doing something wrong?

It's dead. I had this happen to me once. They just die sometimes. You probably did not bust it or anything, just overtime or whatever, they decease. You can try to put it in and very slightly pulling it out and then turning it on. But it sounds like you're having what had happened to me in the past. Look man don't kill the messenger and I do hope that I'm wrong.
