Damn, than I was thinking of picking this up after watching Spoony's review on it. Guess that's what piracy is for.Ack wrote:Anybody ever get a copy of Yor, the Hunter of the Future? No? There's a DVD of it on Amazon for $75.43 right now...

It was good movie at the time it was shown, its very low budget. You just Have to your imagination. Tim Burton did make lots of props for the movie. Its very hard to find a VHS copy of that movie and was shown only few times ( 2 or 3 times) on tv back then. Basically the characters are Japanese. ninjas, witch, toys, cake, candy.
There are a ton of movies Disney made that they say they have no plans to release on DVD. A lot fo them were made to air on the disney channel back in the day. I am glad Disney has been releasing animated shirts collections though. Old-school Disney is awesome imo. Pretty much everything post 1980s sucks though.

Exactly what piracy is for imo.

Earliest 3D movie I remember seeing.
Sadly I missed that but that would be sweet. I wish I lived in Austin still so I could see awesome movies at the Alamo Draft house.
Anyhow, you know what awesome trashy movie stands out in mind for me that I saw at the theater? Masters of the Universe.
Re: Crazy rare VHS prices
This is the type of discussions movie fans would have about video game collectors I bet...
Re: Crazy rare VHS prices
Well exactly. People who watch mainstream big budget hollywood stuff only think old b-movies and the like are just trash. I'm sure this is the same way a lot of gamers that only play the new AAA titles feel about retro games and the like.

For the record, that picture creeps me out.aaron wrote:good move. i'm still holding on to the boxed cassette copy of him reading the E.T. storybook.Reverend wrote:I picked up a copy of Michael Jackson's Moonwalker for $1 at a garage sale, but saw fit to part with it after news of his death.

Disney's The Omega Connection, also called the London Connection. I have seen a VHS of it once, and it was for $200. I have a copy of my uncles recording of it on the Disney Channel back in the early-mid 80s, but I cannot find a better quality version.
I would say Condorman, also a Disney movie, but there was a DVD release of it that caused the VHS to drop in price. The DVD on the other hand is expensive (region 2 had a reprint a couple years ago so that is at a tolerable price)
