Casio Loopy Seal printer not working >:

Post by tearsofash »

Does anyone know the proper procedure for getting the sticker printer in a Casio Loopy system working? I can't read Japanese, so all I've had to go with are the pictures. I have plenty of instructions, but none of it really makes sense. Some of it even conflicts...

I have all the necessary parts, but when it comes time to actually print something I get an error message. Can't tell you what the error message is, but I do know that's the part of the game where you go to print stuff. You know, deductive reasoning and all.

I've tried printing with several games, and they all give me the same error. The sticker cartridge is brand new. It seems like the motor spindles should move to make the tape go through the Seal Out on startup, but I'm not really sure anymore.

Anyways, if anyone has experience with actually printing stuff on the casio loopy, let me know. It's kind of hard to find help. The only other guy I know that has one on youtube says he can't figure it out either. =\

My best guess is that the sticker cartridge isn't properly inserted. I had similar problems when I first got mine... wasted a whole sticker cartridge. Careful with them, they're tough to replace...

Anyways, here's a picture I took of mine. I hope it helps. Let me know if you need something more specific. Loopy owners (let alone English speaking ones) are few and far between.

And if you do get it working, take a scan/picture of your sticker for everyone. The print quality is very impressive for something that's 15 years old.

I'm fairly certain mine is inserted like that. I just double-checked, and even held up my loopy to your picture for comparison. I didn't notice much else. I've been looking at the instruction manuals, but I'm not sure what to do.

The only thing I notice that's different is that yours is XS-11. My cartridge is XS-31. Do different games take different sorts of cartridges? Or are some settings for printing only allowed on certain XS versions? I think the manual said there were three.

I have an extra cartridge still in the box, and can always get more on yahoo! Japan if need be.

I love doodling in Anime Land and that Hari-Hari something-or-other game, but it would also be cool to be able to print. :\
