Unfortunately, I ended up getting my hands on a copy of Lucas' "redone" version, complete with CG monkeys! I thought it was ok, except for things like that that just felt added in later.izdead wrote:nice, thx 1138 is one of my faves. Did you like it?

I'm afraid to watch it again for this very reason. Last time I saw it was on VHS.Ack wrote:Unfortunately, I ended up getting my hands on a copy of Lucas' "redone" version, complete with CG monkeys! Gamer. Loved it, and I'm not just saying that. Under all that action is a dystopian society worthy of William Gibson, Phillip K. Dick and the like. And Michael C. Hall is officially creepy. This and "Dexter" proves it. And the thing about Gerard Butler is kinda disproven here, since he's only shirtless once, but he keeps dealing with almost being killed.
Also, look out for appearances by Milo Ventimiglia (of Heroes fame) as "Society" avatar Rick Rape, Efren Ramirez as a deejay, and Troma head honcho Lloyd Kaufman (credited as playing "Genericon").
Also got the Ultraman box set from Amazon today. It's the one from Mill Creek. It's got the English dub and the original Japanese audio track. And a shitty case. It's just four paper sleeves in a double wide DVD case. I plan on buying a better case (there's a 5-pack for a few bucks on Amazon).
Also expecting the Super Robot Red Baron box set, also from Mill Creek.

Yeah, it was a genuinely funny movie that went back to the classic Simpsons formula of a family comedy with major to minor poop jokes here and there all wrapped in a package with witty writing and a message.Snickerd00dle wrote:you guys, are so wrongOctopod wrote:OldSchool_Boy wrote:The Simpson's Movie

I loved all of the McGruber shorts from last years SuperBowl so this is a must see for me.Limewater wrote:
Wow. I didn't even know this was happening. I'm really afraid that it won't do well, given the performance of "The Brothers Solomon", but I'll go see it!

I just finished watching what's out so far of Sayonora Zetsubou Sensei.
I really enjoyed the satire and overall bizarre atmosphere.

The lack of a fourth season has left me in despair!
