Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
Hello everyone, I'm Marcus. I've been living in California my entire 19 years of existence and am pretty happy here. I've been gaming for about as long as is humanly possible (probably like the most of you!) and despite my young age I started out with lots of Atari 2600 games, some version of Pong, and an Apple IIe. In real life I'm tremendously boring, play a lot of games, and sometime engage in classes. Maybe.
Some of my favorite games... well, a whole lot of them are more modern, but I guess I can't help what I like! Some of my favorite games are: Silent Hill, Killer7, Phantasy Star Online, Bushido Blade, Space Station Silicon Valley, Shenmue, Diablo II, Dig Dug, Joust. Nothing all too unexpected there!
I'm just really in the mood to meet and talk to other gamers with similar interests. Possibly collectors too, because that's what I'm trying to become.

Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
Hi everyone. I found out about this site about 15 minutes ago and thought, "I have to become a member!" And I did.
My name is Steve, I'm 34 and a lover of video games in general. Old, new, anything. I'm a big believer in the theory of gameplay over graphics which is why I like retro so much. Some aren't so hot in the visual area, but they have outstanding gameplay. I'm not a hardcore retro enthusiast, but I do enjoy retro gaming. I have a small collection of retro consoles. Not nearly as impressive as some people here, but this is what I have:
Intellivision, NES, SNES, Sega Saturn, Neo Geo Pocket, PSX (feels odd to call this retro, but it's apparently considered retro now.) I also have a few modern consoles: PS2, DS, PSP, 360 and Wii, as well as a fairly powerful gaming PC.
All the retro consoles are from my childhood except the Saturn and Neo Geo Pocket, both of which I bought in 2008. I think I actually like playing Virtua Fighter 2 on the Saturn more than playing Virtua Fighter 5 on my 360, to be honest.
Anyway, I'm happy to be here and I'm sure you'll be seeing me around a lot.

Why does it feel weird to call a playstation retro but not a Neo Geo Pocket Color, which came out after the Dreamcast i think.dralasite wrote: Intellivision, NES, SNES, Sega Saturn, Neo Geo Pocket, PSX (feels odd to call this retro, but it's apparently considered retro now.) My name is Cory!
I collect games for my Sega Dreamcast and Sega Saturn. Other then that I dont collect anything else. As for playing games I play my DC and my choice for current gen would be my 360 and my iPhone for gaming on the go, although I do plan on buying another DS the DSi XL when it comes out. My favorite games are fighters (although im not that good) platformers, and shmups.
well thats all.
Its so nice to finally meet all of you!
