Hhhmmm, my black Game Cube controller finally broke after years of intense use and I replaced it with a silver and have had zero problems.MrHealthy wrote:I've never liked the wavebird. Eats batters, feels uncomfortable to me, and can have a slight delay in response time.
Also, the official wired controllers are not all the same. The inside components, most notably with the L and R buttons, are constructed differently. And from my experience, the L and R buttons on Silver controllers are of a lesser quality. So I would avoid Silver if I could and stick with a Black Controller.
I can't remember if the Purple and Orange controllers ever had L and R problems.
best gamecube controller?

Its not to say they aren't good. They just tend to need repairs sooner for the L and R. Maybe after 3 or 4 years of use compared to Blacks general 5. At least from my experience.

Oh, no I didn't mean to sound like I was questioning you, I am concerned that my controller is going to be breaking down soonMrHealthy wrote:Its not to say they aren't good. Re: best gamecube controller?
The PS2 controller adapter I posted earlier lacks analog shoulder button capability. That would be a problem for say Mario Sunshine which requires it.
