PSO X-Box Servers

I just got an x-box and pso. I have it for dreamcast but I do not have the bba. I would like to play pso with my newly aquired x-box, but I noticed after doing a search that none of the private servers I could find supported the x-box version. Do any private servers support the x-box version? Do I need to softmod it to get the x-box online without live? Does live even exist anymore for the original x-box? As you can tell I'm x-box noob. Thanks!

Sorry, the Xbox version depends on Xbox live, and those servers are no longer active.

Well Xbox Live for the Original Xbox still exists, but the severs for PSO like LisaLover said do not.

Plus even support for online for original Xbox titles is going away in two months. PSO was tons of fun on Xbox too, as well as DC.
