These are some awesome looking games. Frankly, I feel stupid for overlooking PC games for so many years, haha.

And thanks especially to those who recommended point and click adventures and anything cyberpunk! You fellas are on the level.

You might want to give RTSs a try at some point. Command & Conquer is excellent.

I also second the Orange box, one of the best $30 I've ever spent.

Thanks, but I'm fairly sure I missed a few dozen recommendation-worthy PC titles. Since HellHammer is interested in cyberpunk may I recommend..

J T wrote:For a cyberpunk, you're doing pretty well so far. There are a few other classics you are missing from the list though:

1. Get the Orange Box. Even if you have it on console, the modding community will make it worth your investment.
That and Xboxers still play the vanilla version of TF2 :o

Here's my suggestions:
1. If you're willing to invest a little more, you could get the Valve Complete Pack since it's an overall better value.

2. Check out the independent shit on Steam. Some of my favorite games are in there (Audio Surf, Eets, etc.)

3. Get Killing Floor. Now.

4. If it's not on GoG, get some classics on Steam. They're usually a good value.
I just got all of the jedi Knight games for $20 before X-Mas.

5. Add me on Steam. My SteamID is the same as my username here. I can always use more friends. ;)

The Space Quest and King's Quest series of adventure games are awesome, and Star Control 2 is pretty much the greatest game ever made, so I'd recommend trying it.

By the way SC2 is now open source and a fan made, nearly 100% accurate remake is available for free, legal download:

I blog about games and art. Usually both at once. Check it out at your own risk.
