I'd love to have a go at doing this myself. Have you got any tips, guides to throw at an experienced PCB solderer? I want to give my new soldering station a run for it's money when it arrives next week.

I'm gonna have to make myself a BS Zelda "Third Quest" cart. I didn't even know these playable BS ROMs existed until recently, I might have to make a few BS carts lol. BS F Zero 2 looks pretty sweet.

Thanks!

Sure. The info is kinda scattered, so I'll PM ya some links and can fill in the gaps for you. Do you already have a programmer or plan to get one? Or are you gonna have chips programmed for you? I recommend picking up a Willem programmer. As flaky as they can be, they're extremely cheap and get the job done.

Anyway you could post this info somewhere (in a more easy to follow guide)?
Or you could just PM me as well... but I have a feeling that you are going to
be getting a large number of requests

^ I approve this message, as I've already recommended to emwearz to get them from that site.

Well I have no problem helping out a few Rackotboy members, and I'm glad to. But as for a ton of strangers PM and posting me, there's always the option to ignore them

LOL... as if a Trog with a Santa hat isn't strange enough.
But I think I get the point lol

EDIT: Idiot Alert
I actually thought that when you guys where discussing Bare Knuckle 3,
that the game was basically a stand alone cart version of Sonic 3
plugged into Sonic & Knuckles and not an unaltered version of
Streets of Rage III in English lol

Boy am I dumb  With that said, that in turn begs the question, can a repro of the ROM equivalent of Sonic 2 & Knuckles, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Blue Sphere, etc, be repro'd into a stand alone compact cart? It would be great not to have to use the cumbersome Lock-on technology, especially since the Gen Mobile, and most clone consoles aren't compatible with it.

lol, don't worry, I've seen way dumber assumptions! :D

But that actually isn't a bad idea, I kinda like it. I don't see any reason why it shouldn't work.

There's also the possibility of a multi game cart. You could make a cart that has Sonic and Knuckles AND Sonic and Knuckles + Sonic 2 or 3, and could select between them via a mini slider switch. Or you could make a cart that houses Sonic and Knuckles + Sonic 2 AND 3, same deal with the switch.

Another Starfox 2 has popped up on ebay. This time a PAL version.

It's not one of yours Zig, is it?

Nope, I've never made a PAL version before. I made a SFC version once, but other than that just NTSC-U carts. I thought this one was mine for a second...

But I don't have green text on the top of my label like that. Some one made that label and posted it on the Liquid Ninja forums and it seems EVERY one likes to use it. I regret ever using it. Oh well.

There was a UK seller that would keep listing PAL Star Fox 2 and Star Ocean English carts, but I haven't seen them in a while.

Just curious, why do you regret this?
It looks like a nice label.
What would you have
used instead?
