My house burned down :(

Wow -- very sorry to hear about this... but yes, be very thankful that you and your loved ones are ok. Hopefully you get everything sorted out ok!

Sorry to hear this. I'm glad you're ok and there was no deaths. At the end of the day, you're all that matters. Material possessions can be replaced. Life cannot.

My wife's sister's family lost a portion of their house to fire last year and it's indeed a terrible situation. It's quick and devastating. Hang in there.

That's really sad. Fortunately I've been lucky enough to never have to experience something as terrible as this. My best friends house burned down 2 years ago and lost his grandpa in the fire along with all of his belongings. I hope that everything works out for you, and that nobody was hurt in the fire.

Stuff like that gives us all a bit of perspective - it is unfortunate it has to happen. All in all it's minor scale compared to natural disasters, but obviously that is little consolation to the families affected. Best wishes in recovering.
