My house burned down :(

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I'm glad that you're OK, and weren't hurt after all people over plastic trinkets, right?

Anyhow, I feel for you man, if I were to lose my Dad's NES I'd probably break down and literally murder someone.

If that's the house, here's the newspaper story.

Wow this is horrible. Besides escaping death, i'd feel horrible if I lost some things in my house that are valuable to me.
On the plus side, if you do have insurance (i hope you do), this happened to my brothers friends house about a year ago, and his insurance was pretty cool. He basically buys tons of shit now and they cover it all (to a point obviously). The one down side is he has to pay for it himself while they reimburse him.

Sorry to hear about this, it's always been a fear of mine, especially when you live with people who are obsessed with candles AND have pets running around

This has happened to lots of people though and they get past it. Best of luck to you. I know racketboy members are a very supportive bunch

Yeap, that was my house :( I will probably be parting with all NES and Dreamcast stuff for now. My PS2 was rescued, and all my games were spared (thats what I get for keeping them in a closet!). Unfortunately my systems (NES, Dreamcast, SNES, PS3) were crushed by my 34" CRT as the ceiling caved in. I might part with my SNES collection, but well see in a day or two. Its the only one I love :(
