I mean the groove which runs along the front of the case matching the drive bezel.

Its been fun messing with it...makesm e want to do another one. Right now I am trying to figure out how to take roms from a cd and put them on the xbox. I am to lazy to link my pc to the xbox at 2am....so I made an iso file burnt it and am now trying to swap it over...dont think its going to work but...its bed time so worth a shot. lol

Mod man, that strip is kinda just made that way, all you could really do is paint it. The way they designed the case in general is rather odd in my opinion.

Networking is the way to go. Plug both your xbox and PC into a router and then ftp the stuff over.

I just use the inbuilt file manager of UnleashX. If you aren't using that dashboard then I don't know how to help you. I use it to transfer lots of roms, since FTP isn't very well suited to those kinds of transfers. Since it has to open/close connections for every rom. Takes nearly twice as long.

It's been a while since I used the xbox ftp server. I would think it would be able to do "mput *" where it would upload a directory without opening/closing connections.

Yes, it does that just fine. I've had problems doing that with the server built into the xecuter bios, but XBMC handles it fine.

Alternatively, XBMC can mount Windows shares, so you could just mount the share in XBMC and copy it over with the file manager.
