Good retro webisodes/podcasts?

Post by eSPy »

i really got into the Play Value podcast a while ago, but they havent put out a new episode in about a year now. Also enjoyed watching the Famicom Dojo episodes. Mainly interested in talking about the old hardware and info about the industry and such. anyone have any good recommendations of programs they watch?

Classic Game Room HD and the Angry Video Game Nerd are obligatory mentions. The Game Overthinker is good too.

One show I've really been enjoying is Computer Chronicles. The show itself is retro, so you get to watch them demonstrate and react to old technology the way they did back in the day. It's available for free at archive.org.

I second Classic game room; it contains plenty of information and is sometimes funny.

For audio podcasts, I'd recommend Retronauts (http://www.1up.com/do/minisite?cId=3156908). I know some people also like RetroForceGO! (http://www.destructoid.com/elephant/ind ... troforceGO!) - which seems to have stopped at episode 100?!

Anyway, we have a pretty good podcast here, too - but the host is a jerk (http://www.racketboy.com/category/retro/podcast).

nice list everyone! forgot to mention retronauts as one ive listened to. really just started today but have dled all the ones available. nice to have it so unscripted....just a bunch of nerds locked in a room. will have to have a look at some of these other ones.

Also, if you know of any good tv shows or mini series related to games feel free to include them here.

Check out Active Time Babble on 1UP.com too. Its not exactly retro but its a similar crew to Retronauts.

I'm a huge supporter of 1UP. Their podcasts and articles are top notch.
