getting rid of one of my systems for a saturn

Post by mas »

On the last post that I asked if the 32x was worth buying for arcade ports someone suggested that I pick up a saturn. I did have one at one time and I did have every U.S release on that system complete but when the ps2 came out I was an idiot and sold everything and got money for a ps2. I regret it to this day. I even had the 2d capcom fighters with the 4mb cartridge. So I did some thinking and being that I already own a genesis, nes, snes, gamecube, and wii, in order to buy a saturn I need to get rid of one system but dont know which one? I play with the genesis and snes but I was trying to make my gamecube as a collection. I currently own 75 titles for the cube and some of them are the rare titles like mgs, ikaruga. For every other system I have i got about 50 or so games. So which system should I get rid of?

Don't get rid of any!

You said you had a Saturn once and got rid of it and have been regretting it to this day. Now you're wondering which other system you should get rid of that you have about 50 games for?.... You don't think you'll regret that decision as well?

also, why is that the thread title is "sega saturn worth buying?" but ultimately your question is about what system to get rid of? And you're asking if a system that you already owned every game for is worth buying? What is your actual question here?

Sorry let me explain, I would like to pick up the saturn but I cant afford to spend money for another system so I would have to get rid of one of my current systems that I have now. And I wouldn't regret giving up one of my systems that I have now.

alright, then you've already determined that you think the Saturn is worth buying. But I think you've also determined you don't want to get rid of a system you already have. So the answer is wait until you have enough money to buy a Saturn WITHOUT getting rid of a system you already have.

Thanks I will wait I'm just impatient so when I see what I got I know i can trade this stuff in and get a saturn today if I wanted to but what I want to get for the saturn, well it's going to cost about 400 dollars or so. Gee I can't wait to the flea markets are open again instead of ebay

My $0.02 is I still say sell neither. As much as you say you won't regret it you will. Only once in my lifetime have I ever traded a system. It was a N64 with two controllers and two games for Street Fighter II. IT WAS THE ARCADE GAME!!! A $100 system, at the time, for a $500 ARCADE GAME!!!

Unless your collection is worth about that, nothing, and someone is willing to trade you for so much more why not just take it piece by piece. Go to your local mom and pop and pick up a system and just one game and start from there. Most places around me have the inflated price for a system of $50. For the price of a brand new 360 game you can have a system and a game. If you don't have $50 sell one of your newer games to get it. By the time you want it back it will drop in price to around $10 anyways.

Seriously, man just spend what you can afford. Nothing brings me more happiness then the mail man bringing me a game ever day in the mail. When I only spend about $10 a day on my habit.

This. There's not much game overlap between Saturn and any other system either, so it's totally worth having one.
