What a load of shit. Leno signs a contract 5 or 6 years ago that says Conan will take over the Tonight show in 2009. He does as expected. Then Leno and NBC decide Leno still wants a show so they create a new one. It bombs, and now who pays the price? Conan? I have nothing against Leno, but this is bs. Clearly one person is going to end up gone from nbc. I forsee Leno getting the Tonight show again and Conan leaving for Fox. Still, I feel bad for Conan, he was doing a great job and has ended up getting screwed because nobody wanted to watch Leno at 10:00. My suggestion? Give Leno a car show once a week and leave Conan alone.

I think a "Top Gear" type show with Jay Leno would go over tremendously. Let's put Saturday Night Live on Friday while they are at it. I don't understand how this would help their viewership or their brand even. Let Alec Baldwin really run the schedule. He couldn't do any worse.

I never really liked Leno and I know many people feel the same way. Bill Hicks once did a great routine where he totally trashed Leno. Conan seems like a funny, stand up guy and because I'm anal about things, I agree that calling a show that starts at 12:05 AM the Tonight Show is stupid. Though not as stupid as SciFi becoming SyFy

Jimmy Fallon's the best of the bunch though. He's such an uber geek and is not ashamed to show it on his show

Yeah it's a bunch of bs. My opinion is they should just make Leno's show 30 minutes. It's seemed way to long to me every time that I've seen it. The statement that Conan put out is rather interesting, the way he lays it out NBC is pretty much trashing their best known program for no good reason.

Never cared for Leno. Hope he doesn't get the show back, but he probably will. I bet wherever Conan ends up it'll be better for him than NBC.

i was waiting for some one to mention this but....I AGREE! i love conan, i never liked leno mainly because he seems kinda like a huge asshole(no offense to any of you guys who enjoy leno). it just sucks that conan might leave because he has been doing an ok job so far on the tonight show imo.

How about they change this type of shows , maybe a late night comedy show is getting old, maybe culture today wants something new.

I think NBC tries to limit him to what he can do or say because of the earlier time compared to his bits on Late Night. I am a HUGE Conan but he is not putting out the same quality as he did on his old show. He has always been repetitive in what he says. I wonder how many times he's said "we have a great show tonight". But I do hope he goes to Fox. Conan would feel a bit more free. Just hope it isn't developed by Seth McFarlane like all the rest of Fox.

I did a little googling to see if anyone knew why they haven't done Actual Items on the Tonight show. No word on that, but I did find out that Actual Items was created by Louis CK. No wonder it was so good. Can't wait for CKs new show on FX.
