Real store bought Guncon 2 , post some pics

hi team , does anyone have a real store bought Guncon 2 ? ie new from say EBgames or Walmart or Kmart etc.... if so can you post some high res pics of it opened up ?

PAL - Blue
JAP - Black
US - Orange

i have a Blue PAL Guncon 2 which i believe is a fake bought off a website along with a Black JAP Guncon 2 bought off eBay a couple of years ago. I also have a Orange US Guncon 2 which i believe is real. I want to confirm if my Guncons are real or not and also dob in the Blue PAL Guncon retailer which are still selling them , if i can get pics im going to contact Namco officials.

I have a real Guncon 2 that I bought from HMV in a bundle with Ninja Assault many years ago. it's currently at my mum's house so I can't check but next time I'll have a look for you, unless somebody else can beat me to it? (I'll be visiting in a week or so.)

thats perfect and great news Niode , cant wait to see it.............i havent had much luck in pics uploaded but alot of views from multi forums , ive even asked Namco for high res pics i hope i get a reply back from them.

these are mine , the Guncon 1 has Namco printed on the PCB.......the Blue one has 2 Namco logos printed on 2 parts of the PCB , the other 2 Black and Orange have no Namco prints on its PCBs its a interesting find and hard to determine what is going on.

Took pics but the markings were unreadable. I have two official orange ones, they should have on the left side on the laser sight printed "namco ltd made in japan" and a little "namco" box above the trigger also on the left side. Hope that helps until anyone wants to open up theirs and take pics.

I should have a black Guncon 2 in a few days if you are still interested in pictures.

Oh, and any noticeable difference when using the knock offs in game? Accuracy or delay issues?

edit: There may be an easier way to tell if a Guncon 2 is a knock off. I noticed that the pigtail or cable end coming out of the gun is different for all 3 guns in your picture. You say the blue gun has Namco markings on the PCB. I picked up an orange Guncon 2 today that is official and it has the same pigtail design as your blue one. I found a picture of a black Guncon 2 on play-asia and it appears to have the same pigtail as well:



The black Guncon 2 I recently ordered from eBay has the same pigtail as your black gun's.

It may not be a sure fire way (pun intended) to tell if you have an official Guncon 2 or not, but it may narrow things down if you're buying one in person or if an online seller will send you a picture of the actual product.
