Best f-Zero game?

Im going to stick with GX seems to be the best bet i emulated the others and well, meh imo ill have to try out the GBA ones but the GX version here is like 40 bucks starting price ;(

I have all three, but F-Zero on SNES is my favorite. I like the ambience better. It felt more futuristic and cool. The later games added a lot more options, but they were more cartoony and campy. I also like the feel of the SNES controls. The controls are so sensitive on the others, which adds more room for skill growth, but there's still plent of room for skill growth on the SNES. On the SNES though you get to where you feel you just can't really imagine running a track much faster, whereas I always feel like a little more precision could improve my score on N64 or G-Cube. I kind of like feeling like I raced near perfect though.

F-Zero, Pilotwings, and Super Mario World were my first 16 bit Nintendo experiences. There was this game shop that had Super Famicoms set up months before the Super Nintendo was released and they would let you pay to play. I spent a lot of time there playing these three games because that's all they had.

I had a very similar experience, and thus definitely hold these three games in very high regard in comparison to most other video games, with Actraiser and Super Castlevania IV being very close behind. The anticipation on seeing more Zelda III screen shots drove me crazy at the time. Those comics in Nintendo Power... I just needed to get my hands on Zelda III.

Yeah, I definitely prefer the SNES F-Zero due to the nostalgia factor.

Just wondering is the gamecube version that great? I love the snes and n64 versions, never tried the gba games but I was about to pick up the gamecube version at gamestop for 4.99 but dont know if its good.

It's $4.99... That's nothing, especially for a good game. Just buy it.

I've only ever played the original, so I can't really make recommendations.

However, I will point out that I have NEVER, EVER been impressed with ANY game that I have emulated unless I had previously played it on a cart.

Yes, it is great! It's one of the better GameCube games. I've noticed it gets underpriced a lot, as does Wave Race. There are tons of worse GameCube games that cost a lot more. I've never understood why that is.

Yes, it is great! It's one of the better GameCube games. I've noticed it gets underpriced a lot, as does Wave Race. There are tons of worse GameCube games that cost a lot more. I've never understood why that is.

I like the Snes version best because it uses the dpad. I really hate driving those things with the analog stick.
