I strongly feel that there is a huge problem with how easily pc games can be ripped and cracked. The makers of gears of war stressed this fact and did not release the second part on pc. Even though the majority of pc players have no idea how to get access, there is a strong following for pirated games. Major companies will never make as much money on pc games as opposed to console games.
That's the way of the world i guess...

I've been really disappointed by so many online games, especially since consoles. Back in 1998 I could play Tribes with 32 people on a 56k modem, and it's taken 12 years for 100+ player games to come out. It boggles my mind.

Well, of course that goes for console games as well, But pc games are by far the easiest of the bunch. considering you absolutely do not have to mod your pc in any way to play a copied game.

Well...you kinda do, without the correct "software download" you wouldnt be able to open said game, to copy the files, to burn the game, or to "clone" the image. Granted its not like putting in a chip, but there are a few tricks to console modding as well.
Yep, I know im the one ya love to hate.

I think one of the key reasons for developers to make console games is because it standardizes the hardware across all your consumers. There is a lot of cost after the release of a PC game that is devoted to troubleshooting the game as you find out about new problems that crop up on different PC setups.

also console gamers don't seam to have a problem with paying 60€ for a new game. pc gamers usually don't pay more than 40. in rare cases 50. but 60? I don't think I've ever seen a new game at that price (pc game)

There were some collectors editions that hit the $70 mark.
