A GBA SP of course. I hear the Wavebird Wireless controller is good as well. I'm waiting for one to arrive in the mail so I'll let you know when I get it. DealExtreme has a traditional shaped white one that's pretty decent and the price is right. You could get a PS2 to GC adapter and use your favorite PS2 gamepad too. I'll post links when I get home (on cellphone right now)

Wavebird. It's one of the best controllers I've ever seen, period.

I can't remember if the Wavebird is missing the rumble feature - not that it is that important of a feature.dedalusdedalus wrote:Wavebird. It's one of the best controllers I've ever seen, period.

Yeah, Wavebird has no rumble. But I still love the wavebird because once you go wireless, you never go back.vash23n wrote:I can't remember if the Wavebird is missing the rumble feature - not that it is that important of a feature.dedalusdedalus wrote:Wavebird. The Wavebird is really great. I've been looking at getting one of the white 1st party controllers they came out with to match the Wii. They're totally identical to the other controllers except they have a longer cord.
Re: best gamecube controller?
If you are looking for wired, stay with the official nintendo controllers.
For wireless, there are several that you can choose from.
I have two Wavebirds and I think they are great. However, I have several friends who cannot stand them since they feel "fat."
Another option is the Phantiq "shockwave" Wireless Controllers. Below is a youtube review I found
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gMsvlkjzqnQ. Search Amazon for "gamecube shockwave" and you'll see them going for about $20. They do look pretty fat though.
The last one is the Pelican 3g. Here is the ign review http://gear.ign.com/articles/867/867895p1.html. I know a friend who swears these are better than wavebirds but I have not tried them. You can buy these new on amazon for $15.
Do some web searches and see which one you like.

Depends on the game. I use my PS2 to GC adaptor for games like Soul Caliber II and Ikaruga. The D-pad sucks on pretty much every GC controller I've come across and its horrible for fighting and 2-D games. For all my other games my Wavebird is great.

the D-Pad doesn't bother me that much. But it's not perfect.corn619 wrote:Depends on the game. I use my PS2 to GC adaptor for games like Soul Caliber II and Ikaruga.
