Game Collection In My Dorm Room

Post by Jmenglan »

I only brought my PS3 and SNES since I'm in such a small space but it provides hours of entertainment. Sorry some are upside down, too lazy to fix them all right now.

Yup, when I went to school I only brought my SNES and Genesis along with me. While my friends failed classes playing Halo, I stayed classy playing retro.

Thanks for showing off your collection.

I have only one thing to add: Be careful protecting your collection as I had my entire PS1 collection stolen 10 years ago when I was a freshman in college. There are a lot of shady people in and around college campus's and you'd be surprised how many people have a key to unlock your dorm room door. I'm 99% sure mine was stolen by a company sub-contracted to clean out another dorm room, but had a key to every room either on the floor or in the entire building. I left for lunch and they were in the room across from mine, and 20 minutes later I came back and both the cleaning company and my playstation was gone. I'd also look into taking out a private insurance policy as I did because whatever you might have taken out by the Univ will not cover most electronics. Luckily, I was able to re-coup a good percentage of the Value I lost.

Yes, be careful about thieves on campus.

My friend had his apartment broken into a few weeks ago; they stole at least 50 Xbox 360/PS2 games, the 360 itself, and a lot of movies. And to top it off, they pissed all over his bed. Some people can be real asses.

When I lived in my apartment, I used to hide my gaming stuff any time they sent over workers for maintenance or renovation jobs. You just can't trust anybody these days.
