Need list of good jap games for Saturn

Post by Fiercegaming »

I was just wondering if anyone could put a list together of some good jap games for Sega Saturn. Besides radiant silvergun, what else is good?

Try Soukygurentai Otukuto. its the second best shmup on saturn. make sure you get the "Otukuo" version as it is a re-release to fix some bugs (same game as the non "otukuyo" version and also includes a demo of battle garegga.

I also recomend
Battle Garegga
Savaki-a 3D fighting game with only 1 background stage, its actually has a pretty impressive characters and fighting system.
Japanese baseball greatest 9 series
Marvel vs. Capcom (you need 4 meg expansion cart)
marvel vs. street fighter (4meg)
Astra Superstars (4 meg, although some people say only 1 meg is needed not sure)

Check out racketboys reviews he had dont this many times, search his website

If you have a dreamcast i recomend getting a Nester NES Dreamcast disc and playing Nude Barbie, its my favorite game of all time.

Parodius series - there are three seperate disc, four or five games.
Don Pachi/Do Don Pachi - shumps, Do Don Pachi is considered by many to be the best shump ever made.
Waku Waku 7 - fighting game
D&D Collection - two of the best CPS 2 games in one easy to carry set. Sadly they are only two player, instead of four like the arcade but you cant win them all.

Are you interested in fighting with Japanese or do you want the imports you don't have to know a lick of Japanese for?

Gunbird
Parodius series (fastbilly #1!!!!!!)
Fighting Vipers (has pepsiman in it, the only reason to own this game!!!)
If you like RPGs and know Japanese fluently, the Evangelion games are good.
Salamander Collection is superb. 3 great games!

If you do want to find the Parodius games, get the Parodius collection first. Then Sexy Parodius, then chatting parodius. My favorite series of shumps! :)

Did someone say Marvel vs Capcom? That's Dreamcast I believe

Anyway, Dragon Force is great. Watched a friend play it and it looked fun. Still haven't put more than fifteen minutes into my copy though

I guess I can put up with some japanese. But if I need to know a lot of it to understand what is going on....probably not.
