Need help finding adapter for LCD Monitor- JAPANESE MEMBERS?

hacking something together is not really a solution I want to try, as I don't trust myself to not mess something up.

What I really need, I guess, is the box pictured on that first site. jp1, do you remember anything about what the output on that box was?

Anyone know where I might find a similar box?

The white box adapter had 2 inputs one was standard dvi the other was a regular audio jack. It has 1 output which was the same one that you see on the monitor. Some kind of digital all-in-one type. I have seen a smaller black adapter that served the same purpose in the past...but I have not been able to find it for sale anywhere.

Nope, not a DFP. Some guy on the tech forum ("cwwozniak") linked in the OP suggested that, but he was wrong too as this has more pins.

In that case my method won't work. Didn't count the pins, just thought it was the same because it looked the same. Hmmm... Looks like you're going to have find an adaptor... If it is a common connector in japan, we have a few guys living there who are members of this forum, so you could try and PM them or put a Want post up in the B/S/T.

It is an adapter for a digital Fujitsu display conector.
Sorry,but its only in japanese but the pictures will be useful,the code of the adapter is DVI-FJ30.

I wish I could read the text to confirm that this is indeed true! Can anyone help me out? Anyone in Japan able to buy one of these on the cheap somewhere?

Well,I live in Japan and have a similar display,so I was looking for the same purpose any kind of adapter,but it`snt cheap because the price is about 60 dollars or 5,800 yen.
I have a tv digital tuner so I wanted use that display like a tv set,but here you can get a second hand display that doesn`t need an adaptar for 10,000 yen .
But anyway what you need is that adapter.
The plug you show is a propietary conector of Fujitsu and NEC.So here in Japan is well known,there are two types :one with bolts (Yours) and another with clamps.

I am going to bump this as I am debating what to do with the monitor again.

It looks like the adapter was correctly identified above, so now I need to find one as cheap as possible if I am to do anything with this. Anyone here know a good place to buy cheap Japanese parts? I'd love to find a used one on the cheap!

What I need is indeed a DVI-NF30. I can't seem to find one new for much under $50 (and that doesn't include shipping).

As another option - maybe someone knows of a way to hack the thing to work on some kind of US input without this adapter?
