Introduced Mario Cart for SNES. I will say that it was a success.

I play games like Mario Party, racing games, and puzzle games with my GF. That's about all she can handle.

For a retro game, I say look at the Genesis or Snes, games like Streets of Rage, Kirby Super Star, Mario Cart, and all the like.

For your 360, get Army of Two: The 40th Day. Nothing more romantic than your girlfriend dragging your injured ass out from a firefight.

GTA: Vice City - it's all about the music on top of the carnage

Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo - look at all the colors! Oh, my character hits yours when I score!

Puyo Puyo Fever - you get the Puzzle Fighter reaction listed above but x 1 million

Tokyo Wars - Trust me on this one. I've never seen her smile that much at the arcade.

Sonic 2 - Pick Tails and save her ass, but give her all the credit. ;)

It's always amazing how gamers can sometimes, through some miracle of nature, actually find a girlfriend or even wife!

What a world.

ok! so a few weeks after making this thread, i got her a super nintendo, we have been playing The Lion King, Frogger, Super Double Dragon, and Super Mario World with regularity. she likes Lord of the Rings: Return of the King on PS2, and we play Peggle quite a bit on my 360. so far it's going extremely well. she played Metal Slug yesterday and really liked it. you guys had some good suggestions as far as genres are concerned, 2D and 3D beat-em-ups and run-n-gun shooters are treating us very well.

yay for rampant sexism and gender stereotypes!
