Replacement Power Supply and Video Cable for Super Famicom?
Replacement Power Supply and Video Cable for Super Famicom?
Recently thinking about buying a Super Famicom but most of the systems I find are missing either the power supply or the video cable. I was wondering what type of replacements are there out there and how much do they cost. I also heard that the Super Famicom can output RGB video? Thinking about playing this on an American TV so power supply should be able to work in the United States. Thanks.

A NES power supply works on the Super Famicom and the model 1 Genesis, which you could get for under $5. Any rf or AV combatible with the SNES is also combatible with the SFC. I have some RFs for sale $1.50 but only go that way if you have to. Racketboy sells S-video cables for it if still in stock.

Yup, an American NES, Genesis, Mega Drive or Turbografx-16 AC adapter should work on a Super Famicom without any trouble. Same with the US SNES RF adapter or AV cables.
When I sell Super Famicoms, I don't usually include these thing unless the buyer requests them. Shops in Japan really overcharge for these things, so it would be cheaper for most people to just use the local cables described above. Not only that, but including these things often bumps the shipping price up to the next level. AC adapters are heavy!
