Why not spend the extra $50 on a PS3?

Will ScummVM not work on your new CPU? I thought it had been ported to every device possible.

This generation of console seriously sucks.

Loving my Dreamcast though and a couple newer games on PC.
Older. Not wiser.

This is weird thing to say for a company who has monster hunter tri on the way.

I think monster hunter might be a sleeper hit for the wii. Certainly, it looks like it has more love into it then most of the wii games. Plus, it looks like it'll have some replay value. Sure, my mom won't buy it, but my friends will. Tatsunoko vs Capcom will sell like crazy too.

Just because their resident evil stuff is in the tubes lately, doesn't mean the wii is at fault.

The comment is from a guy at capcom France not from capcoms head. So I wouldn't give it much weight, considering capcom is making a wii fighter and monster hunter3 is also wii only.

I could be wrong, but at the moment I don't think it will do nearly as well as the previous ones ( or it could sell like crazy, as it is japan...). All the fun in monster hunter was to be able to join up with friends and play on the move. Me and a bunch of friends took our psp's on a summer trip to california and we played the shit out of that thing on the trains and greyhounds. It was fast and easy and you had the face to face communication with your friends. And I don't see how they plan to compensate for this by putting it on the wii's online network system. There is no efficient means of communication that I'm aware of for it (keyboard, voice chat etc). In any case, I hope it fails miserably, so Capcom will put it on the ps3 and inevitably xbox like they fucking said they would in the first place. Lost planet 2 may have to satisfy my yearning for an hd monster hunter till then I suppose.

Because the graphics = good games am I right? And resolution =/= graphics.
All consoles can have bad control schemes.
Why does everything need online?

Don't get me wrong, I have a PS3 and I love it to fucking death, but that reasoning for saying a game shouldn't be made for wii is piss poor. At least come up with something a little more creative.

PS3: a system with mandatory firmware updates that won't let you play your games unless you update
Wii: a system with sub par graphics and lots of shovel ware

I think I'm glad I have a decent PC for now. The only thing that bothers me is lack of split screen multiplayer, some games have DRM, and backwards compatibility is problematic (Duke 3D, Shadow Warrior, and Monkey Island won't work on my new CPU). If a reliable XBOX 360 came out, I'd get that.
I hate when people say the Wii sucks soley on the fact it has shovelware and Gamecube graphics. A quick trip to Metacritic will easily help you sort the good from suck. The PS2 and Xbox had tons of shovelware as well.

As far as the graphics are concerned, this is a retro gaming website and I personally love the fact that Nintendo kept it old school with the Wii. If retro graphics are a issue with you, why did you join a retro site?

Anayo you should try DosBox for those 20 years old games (486 era). In the end the PC is backwards compatible with games made more than 13 years ago for sure, that's quite a lot.

Also I don't think there are any games except those released for the 486 that I would want to play that don't work on a modern PC.

On topic, I very much doubt Capcom is going to stop releasing games on the most successful platform. Also this seems shameless plug more than a real comment on how Capcom works.
