Dreamcast Arcade Stick Question

Post by newt42 »

DISCLAIMER: There were no reviews of this at all on Amazon... Prehaps someone could "Be the First?" :)

I logged into my Amazon account and noticed this item under the "More Items to Consider" thingy.

It seems to me that this is some company manufacturing brand new Dreamcast arcade sticks. Since there were no reviews, I wanted to know if anyone here has one of these and knows how well it works. Is this actually halfway decent, or is this another crappy chunk of plastic to be brushed aside?
Systems: SNES, PS1, GBA SP, Gamecube, DS Lite, Wii, PS3 (Fully Backwards Compatible), Dreamcast, Nintendo 64, Sega Genesis, a Sega CD, and a Sega Saturn.

Meh.

I had this stick back in the Dreamcast retail days. I guess it was okay (played MvC2 a LOT back then.) I remember the reason I don't have it anymore is that I had to take it back after having it 2 weeks because the stick became unresponsive and sticky.

Not sure if that's a review or not, but hey...the only good stick I've used for the DC is the official one.

If you want to save money, I don't think it's a bad purchase--just be aware that it might be the best quality stick around.

If money is no object, the Agetec Arcarde Stick is almost uncomparable. It's badass looking and very high quality.

Ebay has the same ones for $26.00 shipped. I was thinking of picking one myself for my shooters. I prefer using my PS2 pad for my fighting games on my DC using a adaptor.

Moved to Sega forum, since the Dreamcast is a Sega console.

Be forewarned while the stick is ok, the buttons are trash. I bought one of these back in the day and it was rarely used since the buttons blew out early in its life. LUCKILY if you are handy with a soldering iron you can use it as a base for a better Dreamcast arcade stick. If I didnt sell the pcb to someone I would show you.
