Which Version of Sakura Wars to Buy?

I'm really excited about Sakura Wars finally coming out of Japan [in game form, anyway], but I'm debating which console to buy it for; PS2 or Wii. On one hand, I have quite a sizeable PS2 collection going on that I'd like to continue adding to, but I'd also like to add to my relatively meager Wii collection. But, I've heard rumors that the Wii version has less content.

Well on amazon.com the PS2 is 39.99 and the wii version is 49.99. If they have the same amount of content (and no really "special" wii controlls). I would go with the PS2 version. But then again I am really cheap. I am going to wait on this game.

The PS2 version is $10 more and it includes a second disc with the japanese voiceovers. If you have the choice i'd say go for the PS2 version.

The PS2 version will also be in a box with goodies. Japanese language and goodies is always better than English only and no goodies.

Just watched the series and a couple ovas like a month ago so this release would be just in time. Nice to see them finally in english so we can understand and play them.

I just got the entire box set or the series on sale for $15. Score! So, now I really want to play the games.

damn, this is only like what, 15 years late? i played about halfway through the saturn version with a laptop showing the translations by my side and that was a little annoying. the story was interesting enough though, so i'll have to check this out... once there's a way i can emulate ps2

does it have voices where the saturn version didn't? or anything special within the game like new minigames or enhanced graphics?

As for the game I had the Wii version Pre-Ordered at work but switched to the PS2 version after I saw all the awesome special features that are coming out for that version such as the voice overs and case. Hopefully we get some kind of Soundtrack as well!

This in my opinion is still why the PS2 was king of the last generation.

I got it at FYE during a Christmas sale. Unfortunately, it's back to it's normal price now.
