Another World makes me laugh at many of the deaths. It also pisses me off probably more than any other game I have ever played.

The Neverhood is pretty funny as well.

I don't usually see video games as a source of comedy, but perhaps I should.

So I bought Jikkyō Oshaberi Parodius Forever With Me for Saturn ages ago, but I never really played it until recently.This is the only video game that I have ever played where I laughed out loud continiously. The commentary is hilarious. There are some references to old Japanese TV shows and old tampon commercials which make it all the more hilarious. Even the loading screen made me snicker. Instead of "NOW LOADING" it says "KEEP WAITING".
Even my girlfriend, who usually ignores my gaming (except for Ryu ga Gotoku 3 & 4), was laughing as she was doing her own thing in the room because she could hear the commentary.

So what are your recommendations for games that are hilarious throughout?

My vote goes to exclusive Dreamcast Floigan Bros.
Best comedy dialog since original 1960s Bugs Bunny.
Even the words spoken are reminiscent of Bud Abbot and Lou Costella.

I think humour in games is lacking due to the lack of skilled writers. Heck even Hollywood has been churning out snorefests ever since its inception. Try the LucasArts games for SCUMM, a simple web search will tell you plenty. Also some of the Sierra AGs like Leisure Suit Larry may be up your alley. Discworld 2 deserves a mention, if you're into Monty Python style comedy. Toonstruck might tickle your fancy, and the detective noir Tex Murphy trilogy has its moments. If you're into campy stuff there's a ton of FMV games out there waiting to be played one more time. Phoenix Wright's absurd humour might make you raise an eyebrow or two. As for trivia try Headrush and You Don't Know Jack. They probably won't work on Vista/Seven.

Game makers should churn out more parodies, Parodius didn't incite them enough it seems.

The cutscenes "Kendo Rage" on the SNES are hilarious, and while the rest of the game doesn't have quite as much humor, It's worth the 4 bucks.

It's not really comedic "HaHa", but more "What the heck is this" funny.
