Removing GameStop Price Tags
Most of my games have a GameStop sticker on them and I can remove most easily, but some have been on the game for a while and leave part of the sticker behind. Does anyone have any tips on removing them? I also was wondering if there was a way to remove the stickers they put on the art itself (on the side) without ripping the art or leaving pieces of the sticker behind.

Re: Removing GameStop Price Tags
We really need a sticky on this. Maybe I should make a guide or something next time I have a used game.
Use a hair dryer on low heat. Once it warms up, go very slowly. Don't pull up. Pull as flat (parallel with the surface) as you can in the direction of the rest of the sticker that's still on the item. If it starts to split into layers, try to restart the white bit with your fingernail again but be careful you don't make a dent/wrinkle in the plastic window. You could also start from another corner at this point. Sometimes it will just be a bastard. I'll usually just peel what's coming and start again on the white bit once the rest is out of the way. If you go to goo gone or whatnot for any sticky residue or little leftover white bits, pull the artwork out so it doesn't soak up any goo gone and be sure to wipe that up when done before you put the artwork back.

Goo gone works great for the stickers on the cases. To get them off of the artwork, peel VERY CAREFULLY. They should come off without leaving anything behind, at least in my experience. However, Hobie's method sounds like it would work beautifully.

Your guide could be in it!
Here's another vote for Goo Gone. Just be careful, don't get crazy with it. And make sure you don't get Goo Gone Extreme, it is way to powerful and will eat your cases up (it even eats up plastic!).MasonB15 wrote:Goo gone works great
And when you use Goo Gone, I suggest applying it with a cotton swab (Q-Tip) to use just a little.

When you do decide to make a sticky on this topic, try not to leave any residue when removing it.

I've gotta post up my guide on this as well. I can get 90% of all stickers off with no residue in under five minutes, so I've really got to post it up.

I've never had one leave sticky residue, just parts of the sticker remain.Mod_Man_Extreme wrote:I've gotta post up my guide on this as well. I can get 90% of all stickers off with no residue in under five minutes, so I've really got to post it up.

Here's an easy solution, scrape the remaining sticker off with your fingernails and then place the sticky part of the sticker back onto the case and slowly pull it up.classicgamer5 wrote:I've never had one leave sticky residue, just parts of the sticker remain.Mod_Man_Extreme wrote:I've gotta post up my guide on this as well.
