Decode the SMTIII:Nocturne Lyrics...

Post by the7k »

I always knew there were lyrics in the battle themes of Nocturne, but I couldn't ever figure them out. I just figured they were in Japanese. Well... maybe not.

Listen carefully.

Drink of the wine of the wrath of god

One more god rejected!

One more god rejected!
Survived the fall from grace
Thou won't oppose the wrath of God

Hear! This one has been brought to him
For the open moment. Do you aid Lucifer, do you?
Thou! You are not supposed to abuse any of this power, heretic!
I have never been one of your enemies. Do you aid Lucifer, do you?

Some of these are certainly a bit off, but they're at least mostly there. Anybody know if these lyrics have ever been revealed before? This has my interest very peaked...

Nice!

Now I really want to play Nocturne.

I still haven't completed it. I logged about 30 hours and then drifted away and haven't gone back.

Sounds like something you'd hear backmasked.

I'm at the save point before Kagutsuchi on the True Demon Path, so I need to do some hardcore grinding for the final boss. I have problems just beating Kagutsuchi; I need to get Pierce on my monsters.

I think Nocturne is finally up next for me - that or Valkyrie Profile. I wanted Nocturne for a long time, but the price was too high for me to justify it...when it got reprinted to 30 I grabbed it (and DDS2, which was previously selling for quite a bit as well). I really hope it's as awesome as it's supposed to be.

GiantPotato has new lyrics for the Boss Battle music.
We'll sacrifice the son of heaven
Man's greatest glimpse of fire red
Oh how they're lost in their prayers for our greatest god
Let me sleep, please! I am a man, half human
I am tired as heart and person weaken

On the name of God! I will not crack. Can you hear them?
God! I will not crack. Can you hear them?

I love this game so much. Such a near perfect RPG.

I'm stuck, last time I played, in a big dungeon with moving floors and rotating things. I think it's a tower? I'm a good ways in the game, I think around level 40-50? I don't recall. But I recall having just gotten Divine Shot.

If anyone out there does play, I recommend using a guide to see what level you get what powers. It's not the type of thing I wanted to mess up, I know that I would lose a great move early on since it doesn't really let you know whats great and what isn't. Gamefaqs has a really nice one.

One question for you guys, how much did you have to pay for your copy? I got my "used" copy at a gamestop for forty last year and I don't regret it for a second. If you like dark RPGs or leveling up or pokemon games, you're going to really love Nocturne. It's hard not to mention Pokemon even though Megten as a series came before it, and more than likely was ripped off. It has enemies you talk into joining your party and a very satisfying elemental system not unlike what the pokemans used. Just be prepared for a tougher game and you'll love it. I know I love it.
