While trying to run Monkey Island Special Edition on my mobile htpc I discovered that my processor, an Athlon XP clocked at 1.8ghz was not compatible with it. It plays Tales of Monkey Island fine, but the remake it apparently needs an extension it doesnt have. So I decided to fire up Descent 3 and play that on my parents new 50 inch flat panel. Yeah that was a dumb idea. We were all dizzy for several hours after that.

Very disappointed about the MI:SE fiasco, but it just means I need to make a new mobile htpc next year. Life goes on.

And yes this has very little to do with everything else in the topic. I just wanted to post it somewhere

I do that with all my PC games. I sit about 8-10 feet back and it's awesome.

When my friend came over to play through Portal, I piped it to my TV and sat on the couch to watch him play on the big screen.

Jumping into this topic to say that everyone here needs to buy the Space Quest Collection and King's Quest Collection during this sale.

I blog about games and art. Usually both at once. Check it out at your own risk.

Street Fighter IV is only $10 bucks today! I would love to get a few rounds with any of you guys that buy this game. My Games For Windows Live ID is jungletoad.

Also, everything else in today's sale is worth picking up, unless your computer is too weak for Crysis or Shattered Horizon and you don't have plans for an upgrade.

I have to second JT's Shattered Horizon suggestion. It REQUIRES DX10, but if you have a card that can do DX10 then you should get it. You have never played a multiplayer FPS like this one.

Forget playing Crysis. Just use it to play Mechwarrior Living Legends.
