my van just got broken into.

Some douche nozzle broke into my friends Jeep by cutting through his windows with a box cutter. They tried to steal his cd player, but weren't successful. They also didn't look in his glove box, which held his $150+ sunglasses, and the spare keys to the Jeep. Morons.

We've had a lot of car break ins in my town lately. If you own a gps, not only is it recommended that you hide it in your car, but to also clean the window where it was stuck to. If a thief sees a ring where the suction cup was, they know the gps is probably still in the car.
Or y'know, just take it with you perhaps? Instead of leaving it in the car like a retard...

I have no sympathy for anyone who gets their stuff nicked out of their car. If you are dumb enough to leave it in there then you deserve to have it stolen. Simple as.

That sucks. I had my car broken into a couple years, they broke my window, stole my old Pioneer CD player (It was old but worked great) and took my single subwoofer! Now I always de-attach my cd player from now on and anything valuable should always be taken out of your car.

Breaking into a car and a house are two completely different things.

I see breaking into a vacant car and breaking into a vacant house as the same thing. You're defenseless, someone damages property to steal your belongings.

How do you see them as completely different scenarios?

Since you don't have to put your belongings in your car...

Ah. I can certainly understand your point of view. I was thinking not only the belongings in your car, but also the car itself, which would be a different case.

You wouldn't believe how many delicious pies I get from window sills. I mean, they're just asking for it.

Just a word of warning; I'm telling my Grandmother, and she'll be on the look out.
