Sorry to post this here. I know there already were a bunch of posts about Saturn stuff but I couldn't find anything that exactly matched my question.
I recently got a decent looking Dragon Force disk for the Saturn.
No scratches from the top. Looked pretty decent. Not warped.
Everytime i try to play it it "hangs" or crashes after the Sega Screen or the "no memory" screen.
I got it professionaly cleaned and it still "hangs" or crashes at the black screen or memory screen.
The audio tracks on it still play on the Saturn.
Someone said I should do the swap trick and that might actually work since it might be the outer edge that is the problem...and I have the model 1 so it might be worth it to try.
How easy would it be to make a backup copy to try to use? Can I just directly copy it or do I need to use a certain program/method?
Any other advise?
Thanks alot.

Your problem doesn't sound like the security ring. The game wouldn't even boot and it would tell you that the disk is not made for the Sega Saturn if it was a problem with that.
If you want to copy it though... just make a direct copy. That is all, just as if your copying any other CD. If you only have 1 CD drive then make a image (in whatever format) and then burn said image again. Programs like Nero do this automatically if you choose direct copy and make the destination drive the same as the rip drive.
