Thought you had a good deal, but you didn't

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

How did you resolve that?

Ordered a new in the box Gen X from eBay and got it in the mail today... only it wasn't a Gen X, it was an already opened Yobo GN Twin... and it didn't have the A/V cable in the box. The box had been opened, and the A/V cables were missing, but everything else was still sealed in the plastic. :(

How should I resolve this? There's no way I'm going through the hassle of shipping it back. I've tested it out, and it's pretty cool, but I'm still pissed that I didn't get what I bought.

That is one problem that I faced, to pay up for shipping to get refund, or just suck it up and try as best as you can to cover loss.

I bought a resealed copy of Bad Dudes (NES) at a local indie game store. For $12, I figured that the game was complete since it had been shrink-wrapped. But nope, I arrived at home only to discover no instruction manual inside and a very badly dented game cartridge. Thankfully, I already had a decent copy of the game cartridge that I could swap it out with. But for $12 plus tax, I felt very ripped off and cheated that it didn't come with the game manual.

Needless to say, I don't shop there very often anymore

I recently bought Virtual-On Marz for the PS2 for $12, only to find it 2 weeks later in Gamestop for $2. :(

I ordered a bunch of games from JJGames.com and the order came in yesterday. However, two of the games were not quite what were shown and listed on the website. I ordered Dragon's Lair for GBC but received Dragon's Lair The Legend for GB instead. Likewise, I ordered Mega Man II for GB, but instead received Mega Man Xtreme 2 for GBC. :?

Sellers obviously didn't know much about dreamcast, games or import games. I explained the problem, they honeslty told me they had no idea it was supposed to be four discs and apologized.

I got an apology, its what I wanted, so it was enough for me. There were other games in the lot too, and courtesy was worthwhile. I just didn't feel as bad after I got an apology, so I was over it.

Well, I always hope that sellers are honest with what they sell. Sometimes on ebay "good" condition can be like an acceptable condition. But then again, I think you do have to ask questions and get more info, if you are serious about it.

I recently picked up Mega Man 2 from eBay, and it looked mint in the picture. When it got to me the cart had nicotine stains all over it. Luckily I could clean them off, but it still made me angry that the seller obviously used a different picture.
