Make Hollywood Video and GameStop your second home

Post by the7k »

Hollywood Video is once again having the "$5 for anything priced $30 and under" sale.

GameStop is giving $20+ for games on this list. http://www.gamestop.com/gs/specialty/tr ... E0klZ5dw7A
(It says "Save $20", but all it really does is bump the value of the game up to $20. You can put it on your Edge Card)

Many of the games on the GS list should be easy enough to find at HWV. Assassin's Creed, Street Fighter IV, Uncharted, Grand Theft Auto IV... a lot of older games.

I just unloaded GTA4, SF4, Uncharted, InFamous and LittleBigPlanet for 100 wing-wangs, plus a little extra. (Honestly, the only reason I got rid of Uncharted, InFamous and LittleBigPlanet was because of Sony RLS, which'll allow me to get them all back very cheaply.)

At the very least, I'd recommend those looking to get SSF4 that already have SF4 to make use of this deal while it's good. Even though I wasn't planning to get SSF4, considering this will allow me to pretty much get it for $20 makes me a lot more willing.

I had planned to use a good chuck of this to get Way of the Samurai 3... unfortunately, all they could find was the game, not the case. I'll just wait 'til they find the case.

Yep.

In fact, some of the games will be marked higher but still be under $30. The employees rarely update the price stickers. Last time, I picked up Fallout 3 for $5 - it was marked as $50, but in the computer it was under $30.

lulz, the only time I've ever heard wing-wangs used was in reference to money.

Sadly most of the games I would have wanted they didnt have : / For shame not living in a big city. I did get God of War for PSP for 5 bucks though! I played the demo and really liked it but could never pay 20 bucks for it. 5 though....

Yeah, my Hollywood Video was still cleaned out from the last time I went there. I wish this deal applied to some of their 'new' items. They have a bunch of factory-sealed, never-touched Xbox and Gamecube games there that are just going to sit on those shelves and rot.
