Anyhow, I ended up paying $17 for a new Controller with my employee discount and trade-in. (As many of you may know my PS3 is currently broken, so the controller was more a a purchase for the future as I've actually never owned a DualShock 3. GO SIXAXIS!)
So anyhow, as I saw all of the Xbox stuff piling up on the counter I started to make small talk after telling her that we couldn't take the Original Xbox stuff in, asking if she was upgrading to a new system an whatnot given that she was trading her PS2 in as well. Well it turns out that she had just received a PS3 for X-Mas and simply wanted to get rid of all her last gen stuff. Long story shortened to not as long as it already is: I traded her my new DualShock 3 for a bundle consisting of:

Two Original Xbox systems (One used but well maintained, and one in like new condition with what looks like only a few hours of use.)
One DVD remote.
2 Official Microsoft Xbox Controller S controllers. (One black, one clear blue.)

Sometimes but not often.
Unfortunately my bosses are all pretty asinine when it comes to me trying to buy older stuff off of customers when they try to trade it in. My 3rd Key SGA saw me doing the swap for the Xboxes last night and almost started yelling before I told him to calm the hell down.
GS's employee and customer policy sucks and employees get treated like crap so I take just about anything I can get. It's gotten me chewed out before, but I've managed to grab some cool stuff from time to time.

I really want to but no one I know owns a copy of Splinter Cell, Agent Under Fire or the right version of Mech Assault.
I borrowed an Acion Replay from Dr.Cirno a while back, but I haven't been able to do the softmod due to not having any of the games.
Next time you get a little bit of cash together, try to get Mech Assault. Not only can you use it for the soft mod, but its fun too! I ended up buying it for pretty cheap. I think something like $7 at a flea market.
Luckily, my boss doesn't care much about buying stuff off of customers. I just have to do it off camera.
It hasn't gotten me anywhere near that amount of loot, but it has gotten me Marvel Vs Capcom 2 for both the PS2 and Xbox, Street Fighter Anniversary Collection for the PS2, and a load of Genesis games + Panzer Dragoon Zwei.
