I'm always impressed that people get specialty tech stuff for xmas or things related to their hobbies; sega saturn? saturn to ps2 adapter? I get concerned enough just asking for games, hoping that it'll actually be for the right system, or asking for movies that will end up being on bluray or worse, full screen dvds. I usually just ask for something basic like a bestbuy gift card, or cash, since anything I can afford I already have or can only be found on ebay. Yeah, christmas is dramatically different after you're not 10 years old.

Yeah, the only two gaming related things I got were for the wrong system. I have Rock Band on PS3. My mom got me the AC/DC RB disc ... for Wii. My mother-in-law got me a microphone ... for the 360. This is why it's good to ask for exclusive titles, if they ask for it they will be guaranteed to get the right thing. I did get $30 worth of PSN gift cards, too.

I have some cash but man, I have such a huge backlog. It would be insane for me to buy many games right now with so many to play just sitting on my shelf ....

I bought my Wii this mornig, still havent opened it yet. I will tomorrow because I wanna play Super Mario Galaxy! Is it any good?
