I use and s-video cable from my pc to a crt tv and it's been working well for a long time.
But just yesterday for no apparent reason the tv just goes blank when i enable any views like clone, extended and so forth.
Now what's odd about it is that it does not appear to be a problem with the cable i can see the display on the tv fine while im restarting or using linux. But during windows it's just blank. On the driver side of things windows and catalyst both detect a second display.
So any suggestions ?
Driver problems, faulty graphic card or a bad cable im totally at loss here
edit
Turns out it was a driver issue what kind i don't know but i uninstalled and reinstalled newer drivers and the problem was solved.

Re: Clone Display is just blank
I had the same problem, and it was a cable problem even if I doubted that.
Then with my second video card, it was the s-video socket on the video card that was crappy/
