yobo fc16 go
yobo fc16 go
Earlier today I wanted to know about the retrogen or genmobile and i mentioned how I was going to wait for a snes mobile. Well after doing some research, I found the FC16 go from yobo and it looks freakin sweet!!! I don't know if there any games that are not compatible with the system or if you guys posted a thread about this product yet but here is the link from youtube about the fc16go:
Re: yobo fc16 go
While a little bulky, this actually looks pretty cool. I did a search and found a place with it in stock here: http://stoneagegamer.com/fc16goportablesnes.aspx. For $60 it might be worth picking one up.

That's pretty cool. I actually just picked up a GP2X Wiz. It's a little pricey but man is it great. It's like a larger GB Micro. The screen is beautiful.

The Wiz is awesome. A buddy of mine has one and the screen is so clear and has amazing contrast. And the number of emulators you can run is crazy, even the CD systems like the Duo and Sega CD are able to play smoothly. My only gripe is that there's currently no option for hooking it up to the TV, like the Dingoo has. Also, what's up with the metal edged buttons, ouch. Otherwise, it's amazing.rscaramelo wrote:That's pretty cool. I actually just picked up a GP2X Wiz. It's a little pricey but man is it great. It's like a larger GB Micro. The screen is beautiful.
So, I broke down and ordered one of these FC16 Go systems. It showed up today. I need to go fetch a couple of my SNES carts and test it out. A few first impressions: It's not as huge as I thought it would be. When closed, it's about an inch or so wider than the FC Mobile II, about 1/2 inch taller and about the same thickness. It's extremely "plasticy." The system and the controllers look pretty cheaply built, but they don't feel as bad as they look. The "D" pad buttons are one piece, you can see the other directions move when you push down on the pad. The screen is pretty decently sized. The top, where the screen is doesn't latch when closed, as there is no latch. I'll try to test out some games and take some photos later on.

I still need to find some of my games (I think they are in a box at my folks' house, out of state, which I'm trying to find out for sure, then have a couple mailed to me), but here are some photos.

Re: yobo fc16 go
I can't find the site now, but on a forum I saw a large list of games with special chips that work on this thing, including heavy hitters such as Super Mario RPG and Street Fighter Alpha 2.

Hailrazer, your DreamTrooper portable is so awesome. I've had your video saved on YouTube for awhile now. Didn't even realize you were on these boards until a couple days ago

Re: yobo fc16 go
I was wondering how big it is? Is there any handheld you can compare its size too?
