^ Mario Brothers plays good but for the fact that there is some hesitation when jumping. I believe it is taken from Super Mario Bros. on Super Mario All-Stars on the SNES.

I came across a Korean game recently which I would qualify as a hack. The game is called Super Boy IV and it is a Mario hack. Here is a picture:

I think Lord of the Rings is actually the Genesis version of Populous.
