This is a very brief review of The Adventures of Batman and Robin for Genesis.
The Adventures of Batman and Robin
This game is based on the second season of Batman: the Animated series. As the title suggests, there is a two-player mode where the first player controls Batman and the second player controls Robin. You’ll need all the help you can get, because this is one hard game. You fight on the streets and on the rooftops across four levels against gun-toting enemies who fire at you from all directions. Luckily, you have batarangs for long-range fighting. The controls are very simple. When you’re standing near an enemy, A or C lets you punch or Kick; When you’re away from an enemy the same buttons fire batarangs. The Graphics are amazing. The explosions, fire, and other special effects really show off the Genesis’s capabilities. Another place where this game shines is the sound. In lieu of Danny Elfman’s famous score, the player is presented with a haunting soundtrack by Jesper Kyd who recently scored Assassin’s Creed 2 and Borderlands. The music sets the mood beautifully, and it makes good use of Genesis’s Yamaha FM chip. This is by no means a rare game; a buyer should be able to find a cartridge for five dollars or less. Don’t confuse this game with Adventures of Batman and Robin for Sega CD – a very different game.
The Verdict: Buy The Adventures of Batman and Robin for its visual flair, great soundtrack, and high degree of difficulty.
I'm writing a review of every beat 'em up for Genesis in a similar format to this short review. This was originally part of that article, but I decided to scrap this one because this game is more like a run 'n' gun than a beat 'em up. If you like this review, you can expect my beat 'em up article some time around the new year.

Re: The Adventures of Batman and Robin (Genesis)
It's only cheap if you want the US version. The PAL one is actually quite expensive. (I modded my Mega Drive and bought the US version btw).
Mostly harmless
